Let's take a closer look at what Python is, what it can do.

What is Python?

Python is a computer programming language, often used to create websites and software, automate tasks, and perform data analysis. Python is a general-purpose language, meaning it can be used to create a variety of different programs and is not specialized for any specific issues. This versatility, along with being friendly to someone at the beginner level, has made it one of the most widely used programming languages today. A survey by industry analyst firm RedMonk decried Pyhton as the most popular programming language among developers in 2020.

Do you know? The name Python comes from Monty Python. While Guido van Rossum created python, he also read scripts for the BBC's Monty Python's Flying Circus. He thought the Python name was aptly short and somewhat mysterious.
