Information Age and Social Deformations

Information Age and information corruption..

To date, I have been an advocate of technology, Informatics and shared knowledge. But what I will describe in my article based on the cause-and-effect relationship can have an effect on you. You're not gonna like what I have to say, and it's gonna make you black. But we still have the opportunity to learn lessons and correct wrongs.

The name of the era we are in; it would not be wrong to say 'age of sharing'. Due to the translation of the word information into Turkish,We also encounter discourses such as the age of information and communication, the age of information, the age of communication, the age of information. The essence of them all coalesces in the development of information-sharing technologies.

If we count the milestones of this era in which we have witnessed miracles, we can go back to the invention of the Telegraph. But these milestones nuts Informatics; advanced semiconductors, conductors, fiber optic, cellular (mobile) communication technologies, artificial satellite technology and advanced computer networks, advanced human-computer interaction, digital (numeric) is defined as a communication and data compression technologies. Disagree with this. I'm advocating a much different chronological chain.

First, I will talk about an interesting situation that I encountered on the web about the sources of this information; a website called TechWorm, Wikipedia says that this information is according to Alberts, Papp and Kemp. The text in question is exactly the same. TechWorm was the first decoy in Google search results. Sibel Atasoy's blog site quoted the same article and cited Techworm as the source. So who are Alberts, Papp and Kemp? What are their last names or names? Why are these guys being referenced? No information was shared in the Digital Journal. Then I look at the wiki, and from here I see two friends writing a book. The year is 1997. I wonder if there are any other books in this area that accept these definitions and add them here. Our brother, whose full name is David Stephen Alberts, is a doctor of Philosophy at the American Defense Analysis industry (IDA). He is a former American research director of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of defense for networks and Information Integration. Daniel S. Papp is an international relations expert. However, it is not enough to determine the boundaries of the age of Informatics. The title of the book they wrote Is; The Information Age: An Anthology on its effects and consequences. It is not the first book written in this sense, but it must be serious content that has been found valuable for reference. Manuel Castel, author of the book The Information Age: Economics, Society and culture, Dec., published in 1996, may be among the sources. I'm afraid I didn't have access to any information about Kemp that I could be sure of. If you know, I ask you to share it in the comment.

Now I open this story as brackets and return to the main topic.

The first milestone of the Information Age; the invention of The Telegraph takes place in 1830 by Joseph Henry. The French Revolution, which took place 41 years ago, led to a major social change of thinking. The near age we are thought to be in begins on this date. The arrival of democracy, the birth of socialism and liberalism, the spread of equality and nationalism, such as the realization of many events, are seen as the most important domino stones of this era. Kingdoms are replaced by nation states. The culture of colonialism becomes even stronger. The first World War, followed by the Second World War, the Cold War, the Gulf War and the Arab Spring.

But the historical importance of Science places today's technology and user habits in a completely different perception. This, in turn, shows the need for a different interpretation of history and classification. For example, when researching the Middle Ages, emphasis is placed on boundary changes of tribes. The failure of Rome to contribute to the development of Science and the perception of religion at its center is not called the beginning of the Middle Ages. However, this is true in today's way of thinking. Although this period is believed to be Rome, which was destroyed by the migration of tribes, the burning of the library of Alexandria is the true beginning of the Middle Ages.

Ages in human history; developments and habits should be examined based on. For sure, if we examine the ages by saying that this era begins at this time, we will make a mistake. Our investigation of its causes can go back many years from the beginning of the era in question. When examining the ages, the change of behavior habits of societies and the stages of development should be based. When examining a society, they are first observed whether there is Settlement, whether there is writing, whether there is money, whether there are patterns and architecture, respectively. Whether there is culture or not is decided. Then the movements of that civilization are based on chronology. The names of the first, middle and near ages, named for the General History of the world, were evaluated through political movements. For this reason, I can't say it's wrong, but I can't say for sure that this single picture should be taken into account. If the current era is to be named and evaluated through the traditional table, the date when the atomic bomb was dropped in the near era is over. I do not know how much we can define this age after the early modern age as a rise, but I think it would not be wrong to call today's age, when the values of law and humanity are clearly named, the age of change. The name of the era we are in after the age of change can also be called the ‘age of sharing’ socio-culturally.

The foundation of our technology-oriented life habits begins with the invention of the Telegraph, and the roots of our understanding of social life begin with the spread of the printing press. For this reason, it would be the right approach for a historian to break down the cause-and-effect relationship without naming an era chronologically. I am in favor of being accepted and evaluated by historians with academic status, even though the changes in the social movement that have already given names to these ages are obvious. But today's supposed historians; I must express that by imposing their political approach, I am grateful for their efforts to turn history from being a branch of science to a war of social superiority.

The chronological chain of modern history, called The Information Age, dates back to the 1830s, the invention of the Telegraph. In classical logic, I can be expected to go back to 1613 and go down to the invention of the calculator. But I would like to point out that I have studied the issue at the contact center and taken into account the fragile developments affecting society. After Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in 1876, the importance of communication and the habit of using it began to change. In the process, people were trying to increase the overall accumulation of culture through newspapers, books and magazines. He communicated by letters. In 1878, the first telephone directory was published in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Antoine Furetiere's encyclopedia “Dictionnaire Universel”, published in Paris in 1690, has been in existence since the culture of the Encyclopedia; telephone communication has also managed to take its place.. Only 50 phone numbers are available in this directory that year. In terms of sectors such as finance and real estate, where marketing is busy, being able to participate in the guide has become an element of prestige over time. Until the Nineties, these phone books were the most important advertising medium for maintenance, repair and retail. Posting an illustrated ad gave us confidence in firms. Phone decks that provide the services provided by today's search engines are the most important indicator of the phone's impact on this era. Invented in 1923 by John Logie Baird in Hastings, England, television has been in our lives since its first broadcast in 1926. Television has contributed to the spread of misinformation beyond directing our commercial lives. First, Information replaced by a fictional understanding of art in cinema has become a disease of today with a chauvinist culture that has also been included in TV programs. TV has been used as a tool of manipulation in our social lives. Anyone you ask on the street today doesn't take TV seriously, but everyone dreams of being there. The coloring of televisions and the strengthening of telephone marketing have formed the foundations of screen consumption. For this reason, the age we are in is also called the age of consumption. Invented by Martin Cooper in 1973, the mobile phone has given us the habit of instant interaction with the development of sms technology. The first text message was sent on December 3, 1992, by Neil Papworth to Richard Jarvis's mobile phone. Lovers who had not heard from each other for weeks could now be in daily or even hourly contact. In 2010, 440 000 silent SMS messages were thrown by the police in Germany. With the formation of a mass message culture, another new manipulation has entered our lives.

In 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope orbited Earth. This is one of the most important events in milestones. The regular exchange of information, which expands from person to person, from city to city, from country to country, from continent to continent, has expanded from our world to the universe in which we are located.
