INBOUND MARKETING OR DIGITAL MARKETING?

Updated: Aug 25, 2021

On the surface, the two look similar: both are primarily online, and both focus on creating digital content for people to consume. Well, what is the difference?

The term digital marketing does not decouple between push-and-pull marketing tactics (or what we may now call "incoming" and "outgoing" methods). Both can still be considered under the umbrella of digital marketing.

Digital extrovert tactics aim to put a direct marketing message in front of as many people as possible in the online space, whether relevant or welcome.

On the other hand, marketers using digital inbound tactics use online content to attract their target customers to their websites by providing them with assets that help them. One of the simplest but most powerful inbound digital marketing assets is a blog that allows your website to take advantage of the terms your ideal customers are looking for.

As a result, inbound marketing is a methodology that uses digital marketing assets to attract, engage, and satisfy customers online. Digital marketing, on the other hand, is an umbrella term that describes online marketing tactics of any type, regardless of whether they are considered inbound or outbound.
