EXAMPLES OF COMMON AUGMENTED REALITY USE

So why is augmented reality used these days? It's more than helping people find their cell phones. In fact, almost every industry today has found ways to implement AR technology to improve processes and Results. Common uses include:


Training and decommissioning: Dynamic, AR-based instructions allow people to perform new tasks more easily and quickly than traditional training methods (such as user manuals). As wearables such as AR-powered smart glasses, AR contacts and AR headsets become more widely available, training through augmented reality will be decidedly deciduous.decidedly so.


Entertainment: AR has been deconstructing entertainment for years. In 2012, a hologram of Tupac Shakur appeared on stage with Snoop Dogg at Coachella. An Instagram influencer this year, the all-CGI avatar, was signed by talent agency CAA. And to adapt to the realities of the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Real Estate Group presented a “Quarantour,” deconstructing an AR-backed tour to replace the live shows it had to cancel due to worldwide quarantines.


Gameplay: Dozens of other games today include AR elements.Dec. The popularity of AR games is not surprising because the game was one of the most decidedly early applications that many people saw for decidedly AR and VR capabilities.


Sales: These days, virtually through augmented reality applications for various products able to try before you buy: Sephora application allows you to see your face in search of cosmetic products; another example is IKEA, the furniture you buy offers you a chance to see your home, paint brands, and virtually allows you to see the colors of your walls; Warby Parker eyeglasses frames lets try visiting a store or ordering samples. Prior to the pandemic, these offerings provided a way to improve in-store experiences or make life a little easier for busy shoppers. Now many brands have made it possible with this technology to sell to customers stranded in their homes.

Today, many of these augmented reality experiences are made possible by smartphones. However, the development of more advanced AR devices (such as Apple's AR glasses or Microsoft's HoloLens) could open the door to even more applications.Dec. Dec.

The benefits of AR continue to extend to new sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, education and public safety.
